Description

Students will assist in a variety of Farm duties. Animal species may include: dairy cattle, beef cattle, sheep, horse, swine, poultry, and whitetail deer. Animal Care duties include: feeding, watering, cleaning stalls, grooming, training, moving feed and bedding, milking, and assisting with routine animal health care procedures. Students working at meat lab will assist with slaughter, meat processing and sales, as well as facility and equipment sanitation. Other duties may include minor fence and facility repairs, mowing and trimming. Some individuals will be trained to operate equipment such as tractors, mowers, and skid steer loaders. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of you job duties. A valid driver`s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
