Description

Professor Houck is seeking a qualified Penn State Law student in the Class of 2019 to work approximately five hours a week as a research assistant on various national security law topics during academic year 2017-2018. The successful applicant will demonstrate an interest in national security law, including a commitment to enroll in National Security Law I (Foundations) offered in Fall 2017 and National Security Law II (Crisis Simulation) offered during Spring 2018. The successful applicant should also be willing to renew the position in academic year 2018-2019 with a five-hour/week commitment to work on helping develop the simulation for National Security Law II in Spring 2019. Depending on funding, there may also be work opportunities during the summers of 2017 and 2018 respectively. Applicants should submit their resume and a personal statement describing their academic and career interests in security law and policy work and affirming their willingness to work during the periods described above.
