Description

The Comprehensive Studies Program in the Multicultural Resource Center is searching for qualified undergraduate students to serve as Math tutors beginning in the Fall 2018 semester. Ideally, applicants should have a welcoming and supportive nature, and possess a strong understanding of the course material typically encountered in a first-year quantification course (Math 21, 22, 26, 41, 110 or 140/141). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience interacting with diverse student population is a plus. Tutors will receive $9.50 per hour and be expected to work 6-8 per week. Interested students should submit the application by no later than Friday, August 3, 2018. Candidates will then be contacted by phone/email for a potential interview to be held August 20th – 24th. Application materials should include both a cover letter and resume. This is a Fall 2018 appointment only but successful candidates may be considered for reappointment for Spring 2019.
