Penn State Scranton is seeking a current student to assist with research during the 2018-2019 academic year. This individual will assist the researcher in participant recruitment, building stakeholder relationships, marketing of events, administering a palliative care teaching and intervention surveys, and entering and analyzing data. The ideal candidate will be interested in palliative care and the social sciences (Nursing, HDFS, or Psychology majors) but all applicants will be considered. Work will be performed on campus, at the student’s house, and in community settings. The individual must be able to assist with literature searchers and data entry in Microsoft Excel and SPSS. In addition, the individual should be proficient with in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. This is a tremendous opportunity for someone to learn more about the research process and build their resume for graduate school. This project can lead to authorship on presentations and publications. This is a part-time position, with flexible hours (approximately 5 hours/week), and is funded through a grant for the 2017-2018 academic year.
