The USDA Healthy Bodies Project at Penn State is in search of Undergraduate Research Assistants to join their team. The Healthy Bodies Project is a large-scale intervention research project focused on promoting healthy eating and physical activity in preschool children, with a goal of preventing childhood obesity. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Compiling research materials- including assembling preschool curricula kits, labeling forms and filing forms; assisting with data entry and cleaning; assisting with recruiting research participants; Food preparation and weighing foods for research assessments; Working one-on-one with preschool children to obtain research assessments. This is a part-time position with regular hours ranging around 10 hours per week; occasional weekend and evening work is required. The position will begin in the fall of 2018 with the possibility to continue for several semesters and through the summer. Standard background checks and child abuse clearances are required for this position, which must be completed before employment starts.
