Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) is seeking a Marketing, Outreach, and Education student worker. The Marketing, Outreach, and Education student worker will report to the Coordinator of Counseling & Psychological Services. Duties may include assistance with outreach programming, information sessions, social media, the creation of marketing materials, event planning, or any number of other administrative projects. This 20 hour per week position includes, but is not limited to, the following roles and responsibilities: Assist with CAPS signage, educational handouts, marketing materials for outreach events, social media marketing, copying & printing. Assist with planning and coordinating of outreach events including logistical preparation for events, ordering of food and event materials, collection of follow-up data, Get Connected updates/maintenance, tabling/exhibiting & social media outreach. Potential for public speaking/co-facilitation of workshops. Ability to research current trends in mental health programming/marketing and to offer creative ideas regarding how to disseminate information to our student body and campus community. Ability to monitor social networks for trending news and ideas. Strong candidates will display the following characteristics and skillsets: Candidate must be responsible, timely, conscientious, self-motivated, creative, and able to work independently. Candidate must show demonstrated interest in psychology, counseling, social work, public health, marketing or a related field. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent written and oral skills. Experience with Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Photoshop, InDesign and Canva. Proficient with current social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Twitter, You Tube, Get Connected, etc. PLEASE NOTE: this is NOT a clinical internship position and there will be no interaction with student clients. This position is housed outside of the Counseling & Psychological Services Center. Candidate will be able to do most work at home or on campus with their own computer. Very flexible schedule.
