Description

Under general supervision, the Financial Aid Peer Assistant is responsible for providing prompt, courteous, and accurate customer service to students and their families. The Peer Assistant will help new and returning students navigate Lionpath financial aid information and understand bill payment options. This position also performs a variety of administrative duties to support the Financial Aid Office such as answering calls, scanning documents, data entry, and other duties as assigned. This is a 5-10 hour per week position starting fall semester. Hours are flexible, but we prefer that the candidate works Monday-Friday between 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Training will be provided. Required qualifications include: current Penn State student with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher; understanding and support of University’s commitment to diversity and inclusiveness; experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
