Description

The Rock Ethics Institute seeks a work-study student with strong writing skills to assist with the REI`s communications and outreach efforts. Preference will be given to students in Public Relations and Journalism majors. The successful candidate for this primarily news writing position will build an extensive professional clip file while working on tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment with an experienced editor; will have a demonstrable history of writing independently and accurately; will assist with Institute operations and events; and will regularly receive and apply constructive editorial and workplace guidance. This position requires 10 work hours per week in office. Punctuality, reliability, and the drive to contribute meaningfully to the team`s success are a must. Please submit your resume, cover letter, and three-to-five writing samples of 1,000 words or fewer with your application. Writing samples may be class work. Applicants selected for interviews will be required to complete a writing exercise prior to, and at the interview.
