Description

Strategic Communications and Community Engagement (SCCE) is seeking a student to assist in managing the official Penn State Abington social media accounts. Responsibilities will include researching social media best practices, creating social content, posting to social channels, reviewing analytics, and helping to develop social goals and strategy. Job duties include: crafting social media messages, taking photos or video for posts, creating infographics, developing ideas for social media campaigns, scheduling posts, and adhering to a social media calendar. Experience in Hootsuite is preferred. Applicants should have experience working with Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for a club or organization. The candidate will be expected to work closely with the SCCE staff. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with social networking sites, experience with writing and digital analytics is a plus. The applicant must be dependable, outgoing, self-motivated, organized, and demonstrate attention to detail. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred. Junior or senior class standing preferred. This is a paid, 10-15 hour per week position for fall 2019 with the possibility of continuing for additional semesters.
