To assist with the Professional Attire Closet Program through outreach, organizing, sorting, and distributing donated professional attire for students in need. Welcome students as they enter the Professional Attire Closet. As students shop, recommend clothing that is appropriate for their professional needs. Ensure the attire looks appealing on racks. Hang and return clothing to appropriate racks. Answer questions (e.g., how outfits look, return policy, cost) students may ask regarding their selection of clothing. To ensure that outfits fit, encourage students to try their selection of clothing on in available changing rooms. Check each week the Professional Attire Closet drop off boxes at various campus locations and transport donations to the Bank of America Career Services Center using available office cart. Transport surplus donations to other campus and community organizations (e.g., LGBTQA Clothing Transit and local community non-profit thrift stores). Conduct community outreach with phone calls and flyers. Collaborate with Penn State student organizations on logistics and donation drives. Assist with other career programs by greeting visitors at Bank of America Career Services Center. Provide technical and logistical support for programs. Other duties as assigned. Working hours are up to twenty per week, including some evening and weekend. Preference will be given to candidates that can start the week of August 19, 2019. Candidate must have Work Study award.
