Description

The Combustion Research Labs/Cryogenic Combustion Lab/High Pressure Combustion Lab in Mechanical Engineering are seeking motivated undergraduates with Federal Work Study awards to assist with various aspects of an active research environment. Specific skills and experience being sought at this time are: electrical and electronics design, build, and maintenance (tasks ranging from design of control and data acquisition hardware including PCB fabrication, to evaluation and repair of vintage test equipment); simple website design and maintenance (updating and improving research group website and bringing research products online); general experimental lab experience (assist grad students in operation and maintenance of existing test rigs; machine shop and LabVIEW programming skills a plus). Students in any major with relevant skills and experience will be considered, but due to facility restrictions must be a U.S. Citizen to apply.
