Description

The Department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering is hiring one or more hourly wage payroll and/or work-study positions related to the design and fabrication of robotic inspection systems. Students are sought with expertise in 3D CAD modeling, design and construction of mechanisms, and/or robotics. Responsibilities will include creating and updating 3D CAD models, producing technical drawings, and parts fabrication. Applicants should have experience in Solidworks, and working knowledge of designing for manufacturability and fabrication. Applicants should also already have full and up-to-date certification for use of the tools at the Learning Factory, or complete this certification prior to starting work on this position.

These salary bands have been established to provide salary guidelines for staff positions.
